Here I am! Bet you thought I would never come back but if you read the lastest
CHEZ FIFI
blog post you already know where I have been.
I must first apologize for not responding sooner to the numerous advertising inquiries I received but I am forwarding your requests to our advertising manager Jim Coen.
In the future, if you wish to advertise in the PRINT magazine, Jim is your man so feel free to direct your inquiries directly to him. There is still a little time left for placing an ad in the premier issue; just email Jim and he will help. He is a very nice guy and easy to work with. Tell him "Fifi sent you".

It will take a little while to respond as the website is still "under construction" but HANG in there! Thanks.

Four of the last 11 home shoots were in Michigan where, as you can clearly see on the photo below, snow was ABSENT. But the little cows were happy and friendly.
However, Mark and I did shoot all the interiors but will be going back to shoot the exteriors in the snow.....soon. I understand Michigan just got a few inches of the white stuff yesterday but we need more than that. So, we wait (not so patiently.)

All photos in this post by Mark Lohman, except for the fuzzy one of little Favour and the kitty--below--which I took with my phone...like you could not tell the difference in quality. Right!)

While shooting at the lovely
MAPLE VALLEY FARMS

I fell in love not only with Angela and Matt's darling family but also with a little kitty. So wanted to bring him back home with me! But he is with a loving family and a favorite of Angela and Matt's adorable tiny girl Favour (here is my "fuzzy" photo).

Take a closer look at "my" little kitty (they call him Meatloaf because when they took him in---he had been dropped off at their doorsteps by uncaring people--he ate the meatloaf! I renamed him "Sidney"....)

and a closer one of beautiful little Favour
(this photo reminds me of something right out of a Dickens novel...and we have so many more great shots of the family....just wait and see...)

Angela was kind enough to keep her Christmas decorations up for us as her home will be in the winter issue. Thank you Angela and Matt (and all the kids--6 of them!-- for not eating the candies ahead of time. I know that was really hard to resist.)

You can clearly see why we need the SNOW!! This (and many other outdoor shots)will be reshot....

Beside the farmhouse, Angela and Matt also have a homy little cottage on the property (and bunnies, horses, piggies, and a wonderful dog called Mabel).
Angela got the cottage "ready for prime time" with the help of
R. LUCAS SCOTT Co
who not only offers unique furnishings (a perfect mix of Cottage, French Country and Classic Farmhouse) but is the Michigan stockist for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint as well.
Hence the lovely pieces and colors you see on these few photos of the cottage. The complete cottage will also be featured in a coming issue of
ROMANTIC PRAIRIE STYLE magazine.

and here is Gorgeous Angela and me (I "stole" this shot from Angela's blog.....)Truly, this photo does not do Angela justice. She looks like a cover girl and you would NEVER believe she has 6 children!!

The other 2 farmhouses were close by and quite different in styles.
Deanna's home is a tribute to her patriotism and her passion for collections:

Linda's leans toward cheerful country with bright red accents

Back to Florida:
One of the homes we shot for the magazine is in Ocala, which is horse country.
Laura has this great farmhouse surrounded by old oak trees and horses galore.
Her farmhouse is full of rustic and refined things you will adore.......

On a last (but not least) note take a look at
RASPBERRY FIELDS FARM

Sara and Tim Higgins' Granolary is featured in the upcoming issue (and in the soon to be released Romantic Prairie Cookbook.) They truly are "Modern Pioneers"!
I will keep updating and adding photos to each albums of the website so keep checking. And don't forget the upcoming
PRAIRIE GIVEAWAY....
See you on the prairie!
